Two races from he-- this weekend. Both involved driver blowups, and both ended farcically. The NNS race featured lots of passing that turned into a follow-the-leader joke for the last 20 laps, but what a move by Logano to pass Shrubby before the line! Thank God for safer barriers; without them, we probably would lost Eric McClure, but now he is entered for Darlington. Overall, though, a good race. What Danica did afterward, though, was unacceptable, and NASCAR should at least talk to her and Sam before Friday night's race.

The Cup race was acceptable. It was more typical of a 2006 or 2007 plate race with little passing and odd strategies. The biggest disappointment was the fact that the outside lane was slower, even when it was a 10-car train versus a solo car. That needs to be fixed. I would rather have tandems, but let NASCAR take care of that. Great win for Kes, and I bet he will get to the deadhole* before 2016 finishes.

* Deadhole is my term for 17-21 wins due to the number of drivers in that range. Get used to it since it may change with guys like Biffle and Kenseth on track to end their careers around 23 or 24 wins depending on when they retire.

Here's looking to this weekend and the inaugural F1 picks!
