I've always had a fascination with the Americans take on points systems. Nowadays they aren't that complicated, as I found out doing my reworking all the way through to very early stages motorsport. One of the more interesting reworks was this 1999 one. JUAN PABLO MONTOYA and DARIO FRANCHITTI were tied on points at the end of the season with 212. MONTOYA broke the deadlock with six wins, but with this little rework, using 2003-10 F1 rules, we see how very different it could be.
The 1999 CART season was marred by the death of GREG MOORE. RIP.
