Apparently, some people think there are too many fantasy leagues on this site. Did they really have to wait until after I created mine to say so? Anyway, this particular game will run at least until the July Daytona race, and then if I have at least eight players (outside of myself), then I will keep it going.

But let's not worry about that. Here are the results, from best average finish to worst:

1. jr88fan
Jimmie Johnson (2nd)
Denny Hamlin (3rd)
Matt Kenseth (7th)
Tony Stewart (8th)
Mark Martin (21st)
---------------
Average finish: 8.2
Points scored: 32.8 (36.5 if he drops his lowest finisher)

2. Nascar Lead Lap Points
Denny Hamlin (3rd)
Brad Keselowski (4th)
Clint Bowyer (6th)
Matt Kenseth (7th)
Jeff Gordon (9th)
AJ Allmendinger (11th)
Kevin Harvick (13th)
Greg Biffle (17th)
Kasey Kahne (19th)
Mark Martin (21st)
---------------
Average finish: 11.0
Points scored: 27.5 (29.1)

3. Dodge
Jimmie Johnson (2nd)
Denny Hamlin (3rd)
Kevin Harvick (13th)
Kasey Kahne (19th)
Mark Martin (21st)
---------------
Average finish: 11.6
Points scored: 29.4 (32.25)

4. riven3d
Carl Edwards (1st)
Jimmie Johnson (2nd)
Kasey Kahne (19th)
Mark Martin (21st)
Kyle Busch (23rd)
---------------
Average finish: 13.2
Points scored: 27.8 (30.75)

5. David
Jimmie Johnson (2nd)
Denny Hamlin (3rd)
Brad Keselowski (4th)
Kevin Harvick (13th)
Mark Martin (21st)
Kyle Busch (23rd)
Ryan Newman (40th)
---------------
Average finish: 15.1
Points scored: 24.9 (29.5)

Congratulations to jr88fan for winning the first ever round of the DJDFG!! His picks averaged a finish of 8.2, almost three whole positions better than the second player, NLLP. riven3d was the only player to pick the winner, Carl Edwards, but his bottom three picks averaged a 21.0. I picked three of the top five, but I also had the misfortune of having Ryan Newman, who had a terrible day, finishing 40th. Despite having the second-best average finish, NLLP was outscored by Dodge and riven3d, due to the fact that he chose five more drivers than either of them did, resulting in a lower maximum score.

Points Standings:
jr88fan - 32.8
Dodge - 29.4
riven3d - 27.8
Nascar Lead Lap Points - 27.5
David - 24.9

The Player of the Year standings will be determined by a separate points system. Two points will be awarded to the player with the best average finish, and one point will be awarded to the player with the second-best average finish.*

Player of the Year Standings:
jr88fan - 2
Nascar Lead Lap Points - 1

*This will be initial average finish only. If a player decides to drop their lowest finisher, and their new average finish is one of the two best, the standings will still remain the same.

I will now take picks for Las Vegas.
