"NASCAR Fantasy Predictor Cup: Complete Chase Reset"

As most of you probably remember, 24over48 said on his first blog of the year that he had planned to have a Chase this year, and I still plan to carry that out. By my calculations, on average the Fantasy Predictor Cup has around 12-14 players each week. Since I'm trying to gain back as many players as possible, I don't want to exclude anybody, so here is my proposition. After the fall Richmond race, all active players will have their points reset to 1000. 3 points will be given for every correctly predicted winner, and 5 points will be given for each MVP. Then, bonus points will be given for where they finished in points (for example, with 14 current players, 1st place would get 14 points, 2nd would receive 13, and so on).

I realize that some of you who have played the game all year will probably object to this, but I can assure you that this won't be happening next year. It's just that with the low amount of people playing the game currently, I want to make sure that they have motivation to keep playing throughout the remainder of the year. Hopefully the bonus points for wins and MVPs will appease most of you.

This is what the standings would look like currently under the Chase format (all active players are included):

1. Kevin20fan: 1041 (+2)
2. BradKeselowski2Fan: 1040 (+2)
3. T-27: 1036 (-2)
4. NicoRosbergFan: 1035 (+3)
5. Dodge: 1034 (+0)
6. David: 1025 (+0)
7. Riven3d: 1024 (-5)
8. The Long Shot: 1015 (+5)
9. Joey2448: 1012 (-1)
10. Kubica Fan Ireland: 1010 (+4)
11. Number8810fan: 1009 (+0)
12. 883910fan: 1006 (-3)
13. Jr88fan: 1005 (-3)
14. Josh C: 1003 (-2)

So anyways, leave me feedback on whether or not you are okay with this change. Until next time, I am The Long Shot. 'Til we meet again.
