"My Las Vegas Picks"

Around Tuesdays or so, I will make my picks known for each race. This week, my Las Vegas Picks.

- A-List (1 Starter, 1 Reserve)

Starter - Carl Edwards
Reserve - Kyle Busch

Las Vegas has been a track that Roush has loved, and has historically performed very well at. While both Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch will both want to prove that last years slumps were aberrations, and both Roush as a team, and Kyle Busch has done well on his home track, I will pick Edwards, unless a gut feeling tells me to go otherwise.

- B-List (2 Starters, 2 Reserves)
Starters - Matt Kenesth, Kevin Harvick
Reserves - Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne

Again, as I said, Roush has had great success at Las Vegas, and RCR has looked very strong early. I have already used Kenesth once, but I will use him for my second time, if so I can get some points early, and I will be certain Kenesth will get them for me. Harvick gets the nod over Bowyer, since I think just a little more of Harvick to get me points than Bowyer (but I would not be surprised if Bowyer also finishes in the Top 10). Kahne gets picked as a reserve, since he has qualified pretty well at Las Vegas historically, and I want to try and snag some qualifying points as well, if possible.

- C-List (1 Starter, 1 Reserve)
Starter - Sam Hornish Jr.
Reserve - Scott Speed

Same two drivers as last week, though I was tempted to throw in A.J. Allmendinger as a starter instead of Hornish. If A.J. does well at Vegas this week, I will pick him for Atlanta next week. Speed will be my reserve this time, and probably will see my reserve spot a bunch this season, for those just in case, if he can keep it up with finishing decently.
