- Ferrari is looking good again, but...
Dominant performance by Ferrari, however, in order to sweep the top 2 spots, Sebastian Vettel's motor had to start going south. It sure looks like Ferrari is back to its powerful self, but I do think that at the very least, Red Bull can challenge them, as long as their engines can hold up.
- The new teams... ouch.
Heikki Kovalainen said it best when Speed TV said mentioned that Lotus should be competitive in 3 years. I figured the new teams were going to be bad, but for some, not this bad. At least Lotus was able to hang around until the end, but the Hispania cars are going to be in for a world of hurt this year, and if I am Sir Richard Branson, I try to help that team get on its feet as fast as possible, even if it means losing a few bucks initially. I might change my predictions, and now say the only way the new teams score points is if there is enough attrition in a race.
- Michael Schumacher didn't look too bad.
Didn't do too badly. Started 7th, finished 6th. Ill still give it a few more races, but I don't think he will win a championship, but he should be competitive.
- And finally... who's idea was it to have the IRL race at Sao Paulo?
Really? I would of expected CART to have those types of troubles in its later years, not the IRL. If they are smart, if they still want to race in Brazil next year, go to Interlagos, or find a much better prepared street circut.
- Fantasy NASCAR
I will post my picks sometime tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.
