What a crazy weekend. We all did terrible. The highest score was eight, which several people got. One week after half the contestants got the win, zero people picked Regan Smith to win (come on, someone had to see it coming!). As a matter of fact, no one even picked him to finish in the top 10!
I don?t normally do this, but I have a pick of the week award. This goes to forman400b, for guessing Brad Keselowski to finish in the top five. With the way has he been running since going over to Penske, to say it was a risky pick was an understatement.
There seems to be a recent problem for copying competitors picks. My take on it? If you copy someone else ahead of you, what good is that going to do you? You can?t gain any points, so I highly recommend not doing it. That?s all I have to say about that.
Anyone personally know Roushfan? He was sitting sixth in the standings two weeks ago but has been MIA the last two races?
This next note is important, so please read. I will be going on my very first business trip next week. The flight leaves Sunday morning, and I hope to get to my hotel before the race starts. However, if I somehow end up missing the race, I will have my DVR in place and wait until Saturday when I get back to watch it. In other words, there is a chance the standings after Dover won?t be posted until Saturday afternoon (May 21st). If you don?t see the standings Monday after Dover, then you can expect to wait a few days.
This leads me to my next point. Since I may be staying away from racing related websites for a few days, I will post The Winston predictions this Saturday night. For this race, instead of the usual format, you are going to simply pick who you think will win. If you get it right, that is five points. If you have any questions on this, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Onto the points?.
