Since we are only about a month away from the Daytona 500, and the start of the 2012 Sprint Cup season, over the next few weeks leading up to the big race I'll be posting my predictions for the upcoming season enjoy! Let's begin with Jamie McMurray.
Jamie McMurray - From the penthouse to the outhouse !
Last February Jamie Mac probably thought he could mirror his 2010 dream season, and why not he was fresh off a career year in 2010. Jamie scored 3 huge victories including the biggest race of all the Daytona 500. Oh how the worm turns just one season removed from flirting with superstardom, Jamie found himself stuck in the worst season of his cup career(2011). Now Jamie mac must put the past behind him and focus on this season. Most critics would say this is a make or break year for the driver of the #1 EGR chevy,I would disagree with that analogy. It's obvious this guy has the talent to become a major star in this sport, however he often lacks complete confidence in the cars he drives. When asked last season why the 1 car"s performance has regressed? He simply answered "Our cars have not been as fast this year" Not only did the 1 team struggle the whole EGR organization had an off year after winning 4 races in 2010. Although I don't expect things to drastically change for the EGR group in 2012, I believe Jamie mac will run better and have a chance to get back to the winner's circle. Expect great runs from Jamie at the plate races, he seems to have found great success at Daytona, and Dega over the past few years. I don't foresee any major wholesale changes within the organization for 2012, but if the performance continues to dwindle Crew chief Kevin Bono Manion could be the scapegoat.
The Skinny - Projected outlook for 2012 season
Wins - probable - wins could come at Daytona, Talladega,Indy, Charlotte
Top 5's - Yes
Top 10's- yes
Poles - No
Will make the chase -No
Projected finish in points 17th
